Located in Data & Assets, the Data manager is a place where one can find Customer properties & Events, and several advanced features of Exponea. You can find links to some of the respective features below, and here is also a difference between them and examples of uses.
Customer properties include all of the predefined, imported, tracked or manually created customer attributes that are currently within a project.
Directly in a data manager you can create or modify these attributes. Just click inside a selected row
to modify these values. Customer attributes can be of these types: String, Longtext, Number, Boolean, Date, Datetime, List and URL
You can also set description and example values for each attribute, in order to provide clarity for different users or yourself.
Furthermore, you can manually add an attribute by clicking 'Add property' underneath the list of properties.
At the end of each row there is an option to Delete customers and events, which should be handled with care. Only administrative users of projects can delete the data.
If the customer includes PII (Personally identifiable information), you can configure this as well. Read about PII and configuration in Private information handling.

This section contains the basic information about the events that you are tracking within your project. If you click on any of the events, the dropdown will show you which attributes are currently tracked under each event.
You can modify directly each event, modify descriptions of the event attributes, and forbid the permission to receive events from API. It is also possible to manually create an event by clicking the button Add event under the list of events.
If the event includes PII (Personally identifiable information), you can configure this as well. Read about PII and configuration in Private information handling.
You can find a guide to Expressions here (Add link)
Data takes a lot of storage and not all type of events are neccesary to keep forever. In order to keep the size of the project under control, it is possible to setup automatic expiration of events after a certain period of time.
To get into the Expiration section, click on the three-dot button on the top right corner of Management section and click on 'Expiration'.
In here it is possible to specify which event type should be deleted after specified amount of time. The events will be deleted permanently.
This part enables of easy copy of different components in Exponea (campaigns, analyses, definitions..) between projects and/or exporting them as JSON.
First you need to select which components do you want to export or clone to another project and then select one of the blue action buttons in the top right corner. If you wish to import definitions instead, they are imported in the form of JSON (same as that was exported previously)
While event tracking is client-specific, Exponea is not able to understand data structure with custom naming. Data mapping functionality enables Exponea to understand your custom events structure and customer properties while keeping your own naming standards.
This will bring you a better recommendation, automatic campaign attribution and dashboards. It's also much more easier to setup prediction-based campaigns for your project.
1. E-commerce events
Let Exponea understand on which purposes are your events designated.
2. Purchase attributes
Map multiple purchase attributes so Exponea will understand which attribute represents purchase status or quantity for example.
3. Customer properties
Exponea also wants understand some customer properties. If you mark customer's birthday property Exponea can make nice B-day campaigns.
